Dr. Ugbad Farah recently earned her PhD in Ecology, Behavior, & Evolution from the University of California, San Diego, where her research explored the ecology and evolution of commercially important algae for biofuel, contributing to the renewable energy field. Her passions revolve around sustainability, environmental justice, and community. She also has a strong interest and background in science policy. Ugbad has analyzed federally funded programs that engage the public with science and technology, supported executive staff with policy analysis, and written technical reports. Additionally, she also develops comprehensive memos, engaging newsletter content, and other communication materials to keep clients informed and support their strategic objectives.

Ugbad is deeply passionate about science, community, and policy. She is dedicated to bridging gaps between these fields to create sustainable solutions and promote environmental stewardship. Over the last few years, she has initiated sustainability projects and collaborated with environmental education centers within southern California. Her commitment to making science accessible and inclusive drives her work, inspiring her to engage with diverse communities and foster collaboration across disciplines.
